Therapy Service


Dr Spencer provides therapy and interventions for
children (aged 6 and above), adolescents and adults.

She is experienced in the treatment of anxiety, depression, self-harming, suicidal ideation, trauma, social skills training, anger management, and grief and loss.

Dr Spencer can provide school observation visits and school liaison.

Making an Appointment

Please make sure that you have read the therapy appointment information below before booking.

Making a booking indicates that you agree to the service and cancellation policy (outlined below).

Therapy Appointment Information

Appointments times are available:
Mondays: 4.30pm
Tuesdays: 1.30pm, 3pm, 4pm
Wednesdays:  4.30pm
Thursdays:  4.30pm
Fridays:  9.30am, 11am, 1.30pm, 3pm, 4pm
Varying days on school holidays
The consultation fee is $210 per appointment
Payments are made at the time of your appointment via credit card or direct deposit transfer or via PayPal
SMS reminders sent for all appointments
Appointments are 55 minutes
If children are the client, parents will be updated in the last 10 to 15 minutes of the session
If Dr Spencer is unavailable and cannot make your appointment you will be notified via phone
Please be aware that even though you are charged per appointment, each appointment may create many hours of further work undertaken behind the scenes for your child/adolescent and/or you.

Appointment cancellation policy:

Please cancel appointments via the online portal or via email at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time otherwise an administration cancellation fee of $50 will be charged for non-attendance (not able to be claimed through Medicare).

Initial appointment:

Initial appointments will usually involve history taking and determining a plan based on individual client needs.  File maintenance, storage and confidentiality will be discussed at this session. Please ask any questions that you may have at this appointment. 


Appointment attendance letters are available on request.

If you require a letter for any other reason please make sure that this is arranged in a session with Dr Spencer, at her discretion.  Letters requested outside appointment times will incur a preparation time cost of $70 per letter (not able to be claimed through Medicare).

Urgent matters:

Dr Spencer is not available at the point of crisis or in emergency.

Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or Specialist referral:

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or Specialist referral the work will be progressed as carefully as possible within the six and then four sessions style of the MHCP (i.e. ten in 12 months).   

Any GP or Specialist can refer to Dr Spencer.

Medicare claims can be processed at the time of your appointment, please bring your medicare card with you.   

Please bring your plan with you to the first appointment – N.B. faxing your plan is not an available option.

Your GP will be provided with a review letter and a final summary letter from Dr Spencer. 

Private health:

Private Health clients pay at the time of appointment and submit their own claims to their health fund. Please make sure you check that your health fund will cover appointments with a Registered Psychologist prior to making an appointment.


NDIS funded patients that are self-managed pay at the time of appointment and submit their own claims to NDIS.


Private patients:
